Starflower Bunny Farm's Sales Agreement

 By purchasing a bunny, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.  

Before committing to purchasing a bunny, please thoroughly explore our website by viewing our "Bunny Care Guide" and conduct as much research as possible.

All bunnies are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We will not hold or reserve any bunny until a deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due at the time of pick-up. This may be paid in full at pick up or paid overtime. Full payment must be completed before the bunny leaves our premises.

We are committed to ensuring that each bunny is placed in a caring home. If we decide not to proceed with a sale after a deposit has been made, we may decide to fully refund your deposit if the circumstances allow us to.

We are also willing to accept unwanted bunnies to rehabilitate and re-home. Please contact us to find out if we can accommodate this. Returned bunnies should come with their cage and birth certificate. Please note that we may refuse to accept a bunny if we suspect it is ill, as we cannot risk the health of our other bunnies.

You must be 18 years or older to purchase a bunny or be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Sales Contract Details:  Signing the below sales contract is optional and will be assumed to be accepted, therefore it is important to review it. On the pick-up day, you will have the opportunity to sign the contract in person, and a copy will be emailed to you for your records. 

1. I agree to provide a safe, appropriately sized, and healthy indoor environment for my bunny, ensuring it is supervised when necessary.
2. I agree to handle the bunny with care and not expose it to any danger. In the event, that a bunny passes away outside of our care past 7 days, all sales are final and we cannot offer a refund. We recommend taking the bunny to a veterinarian within 24 hours of obtaining the bunny for a full health check.
3. If purchasing a pair, I understand that proper bonding is required.
4. I agree to feed a balanced diet of high-fiber pellets, hay and provide fresh water daily.
5. I agree to take the bunny to a vet as needed, ideally within the first week of bringing it home.
6. I agree to spay/neuter my bunny if needed and if I choose to do so, I understand the risks and mortality rates associated with altering a bunny.
7. I agree not to breed, sell, or use the bunny for experimentation, meat, or any other purposes.
8. If purchasing an opposite-gendered pair of bunnies, I agree to NOT breed them and separate the bunnies when they reach breeding age. This is a PET ONLY agreement.
9. I understand the ongoing financial responsibilities of pet ownership of about 8-10 years.
10. I agree that this adoption is intended to be permanent. If rehoming becomes necessary, I will make every effort to find a safe new home or return the bunny to Starflower Bunny Farm.
11. I agree not to euthanize the bunny except in cases of medical illness or chronic pain with no hope of recovery. Euthanasia must be performed by a licensed veterinarian.
12. I agree to notify Starflower Bunny Farm via the provided contact information when the bunny passes away.
13. I understand that failure to meet these conditions may result in Starflower Bunny Farm reclaiming the bunny.
14. I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older and fully understand that this contract is legally binding upon myself and any third parties associated with this agreement.

*If purchasing a Flemish Giant you MUST agree to the term below*

1. I agree that these rabbit(s) will NOT be used for meat, meat, breeding, or meat consumption.

If you choose not to sign the above contract, opt not to spay/neuter, or purchase a pair of opposite-gendered bunnies:

An additional fee of $100 will be required, and you must sign the following agreement (this is not a breeder rights agreement):

1. I understand that I am opting against the recommendations provided by Starflower Bunny Farm due to purchasing opposite-gendered pair of bunnies.
2. I understand that by purchasing a male and female bunny and choosing to breed or potentially breed them, I accept and acknowledge the associated risks, including but not limited to health, genetic, and overpopulation concerns, and agree to assume full responsibility for these risks.
3. I understand that if I plan on breeding,  I agree to follow responsible and ethical breeding practices.
4. I, the Buyer, assume full responsibility for any health, genetic, or behavioral issues from breeding and agree to hold the Seller, Starflower Bunny Farm, harmless from any related claims or liabilities. 
5. I agree to provide appropriate housing, diet, social needs, and veterinary care for the bunny.
6. I agree to notify Starflower Bunny Farm via the provided contact information when the bunny passes away.
7. I understand that failure to meet these conditions may result in Starflower Bunny Farm reclaiming the bunny.
8. I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older and fully understand that this contract is legally binding upon myself and any third parties associated with this agreement.

We sell Breeder Quality bunnies exclusively to established breeders, who must sign a separate "Breeder Rights" contract at the time of deposit and pay an additional fee for rights and pedigrees. Starflower Bunny Farm reserves the right to refuse sales to any breeder at our discretion.

Starflower Bunny Farm retains the first right of refusal for all our bunnies. This means that if you can no longer keep your bunny for any reason, you MUST offer to return it to us before rehoming, selling, or surrendering it elsewhere. We may choose to take the bunny back or decline, at our discretion.

Starflower Bunny Farm offers a 7-day health guarantee under the following conditions:  

• If your bunny becomes ill or dies within 7 days of the bunny leaving our farm, you must notify us immediately and provide photo/video proof. The bunny MUST be taken to a vet to have them evaluated and vet records MUST be provided to us. We have the right to request the bunny’s return for a necropsy at no cost to you and you agree to comply.  
• If a genetic or congenital defect is confirmed, we may issue a refund, partial refund, or replacement at our discretion. No refund/replacement is given for injury, neglect, or unknown causes or if no proof is provided to us.  
• The guarantee does not apply if the bunny is transported via air or ground by a third party.  
• Buyers who fail to provide proof of illness or death may be barred from future purchases.
• After 7 days, Starflower Bunny Farm is no longer liable for any illness or death.
